Rob oversees strategic planning, marketing, sales, distribution, logistics and warehouse operations of the brewery. Accomplished 9-year brewing industry veteran Sales and merchandising experience at R&K Distributing and Coors of Longview; Large volume retail account management; Sales & Inventory management; sales forecasting; pricing strategy; portfolio management; merchandising and retail sets; Multiple distributor and retailer relationships in market Workforce Specialist for Industrial Technology and Director of the KCEPT (Lineman) and KCTI (CDL) programs. Has 9 years of logistics experience as Operations Manager of Handy Hotshot.
Rob has a Marketing Bachelor's degree from Stephen F. Austin State University and a Masters Degree in Organizational Development from UT Tyler.
Laura oversees the Information Technology inside the Brewstillery, and is in charge of the Events Center, special events, workshops/ seminars, and the business aspects of Flying Jewel as Company CFO. Experienced management professional with 17 years working for Longview public education as a technology professional, overseeing the High School. Laura’s core competency is to streamline processes, real-time monitoring, improving efficiency and data analysis. Passionate about craft beer, Beer festivals, City of Longview Events and Planning Commission Developments. When Laura is not in the Brewery, she will be coaching, cheering and encouraging their two children, Joseph and Grace, at school activities.
Laura has a Bachelor’s Degree in History and a Masters Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Stephen F. Austin State University
Flying Jewel Brewing is the realization of a long-held aspiration that took root in 2008 when we first set foot in the original Saint Arnold's Brewery. The experience left an indelible impression, igniting our passion for crafting exceptional beer. Following graduation, Rob delved into the retail side of the industry, working for both Coors and Budweiser Distributorships. This invaluable experience allowed him to understand the intricacies of the beer market and discern what works and what doesn't, all the while honing his brewing skills through homebrewing.
At Flying Jewel Brewing, our core mission is twofold: to produce outstanding quality beer and to create a gathering place that welcomes people from all walks of life. We envision our brewery as more than just a production facility; it's a destination that offers an immersive experience. Guests will not only savor our finely crafted brews but also enjoy the scenic charm and welcoming atmosphere of North Longview/Spring Hill.
